Oils, including Oil on board, oil on canvas, oil on panel, oil on wood panel, oil on plywood oil on nardboardetc. This is what Lowry was most famed for, his oil paintings of industrial life in the north.
Pencils include pencil on paper, pencil on card, colorued pencil, chalk, pastel, charcoal, crayon and ink, felt tip pen. This includes a lot of Lowrys early work as well as a number of studies that went on to become oil paintings.
Watercolours include watercolour on paper and watercolour and gouache on paper. Not one of Lowry's favourite materials, he did not create that many.
